Debt Ceilings and Bush Tax Cuts

  Ok, we've been hearing alot about these recently and how they have affected the national debt, thereby figuring into the current debt-ceiling discussion.  I knew that they were tax cuts (Duh ;-), but honestly I did't really pay too much attention to them.  All I knew, was that my tax bill seemed a little lower.  Because this current crisis is plastered all over the news, you keep hearing references to these and thier part in how we ended up trillions (FYI:  This is a trillion  $1,000,000,000,000  http://www.jimloy.com/math/billion.htm )  in debt.  YIKES!!!  Anyways, these are NOT THE ONLY causes of the USA's current troubles (You can also add the wars, and 'other' causes as well) but the do figure prominantly into this scenario.
